The Organizing Committee is pleased to welcome all veterinarians, researchers, and specialists in veterinary medicine, medical sciences, and environmental sciences to the opening of the Libyan International Conference of Veterinary Medicine. This year’s conference will be held under the theme “One Health” on *Saturday, July 5, 2025*, at the Radisson Blu Hotel (Al Mahary).
This conference aims to realize shared visions in addressing health challenges, which necessitate building effective veterinary systems that balance economic development with safeguarding public health. It also seeks to enhance scientific communication and exchange expertise among professionals and stakeholders in the veterinary sector within our region. Given that livestock forms the backbone of our economy and food security, this prominence brings significant challenges including zoonotic diseases, epidemic outbreaks, and issues arising from the irrational use of medical resources.
Accordingly, the conference will focus on three key themes:
1. Animal Diseases
2. Antibiotics and Veterinary Vaccinations
3. Modern Technologies in Veterinary Medicine
Abstract Submission Deadline:
*June 20, 2025*
We believe your active participation will be invaluable to the success of this distinguished event, representing a practical step toward safeguarding both human and animal health for our shared future.
Peace be upon you,
The Scientific Committee of the Conference

The “Animal Diseases” topic is a core component of the Libyan International Veterinary Medicine Conference, focusing on major diseases affecting animals and their impact on animal health, public health, and food safety. This track explores the latest methods in diagnosing, preventing, and treating these diseases, while addressing emerging challenges such as zoonotic and newly evolving diseases. It aims to foster collaboration among veterinarians, health professionals, and environmental experts to support an integrated and sustainable health system that serves the One Health concept.
Antimicrobial agents are vital in veterinary and human medicine for treating infections and ensuring food safety. However, their overuse in animals and healthcare has fueled a rise in drug-resistant bacteria, including multi-drug-resistant organisms, threatening public health. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) undermines treatments, increases mortality, and escalates costs, emphasizing the urgent need for stewardship. The *One Health concept* highlights the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, advocating for coordinated action to curb AMR through responsible antimicrobial use and surveillance.
The “Modern Technologies in Veterinary Medicine” track at the Libyan International Veterinary Medicine Conference highlights the vital role of scientific and technological advancements in supporting the veterinary profession. This track focuses on the application of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, advanced diagnostics and biotechnology in enhancing diagnostic, treatment, and preventive methods. It also explores how these innovations contribute to improved animal production, disease monitoring, and food safety. The aim is to foster collaboration among researchers and professionals to effectively integrate these technologies into the veterinary sector in Libya.
